Medical & Rehabilitation Academic Program Notice:  The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) curriculum is engineered according to modern international physical therapy & clinical rehabilitation standards, integrating human anatomy, biomechanics, electrotherapy, neurological rehabilitation, and mandatory hospital clinical postings.

Program Overview

The Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) at International University of Barbados is a comprehensive 4.5-year undergraduate medical degree program (including a mandatory 6-month clinical internship) designed to educate and train skilled physical therapists, movement specialists, and rehabilitation experts.

As healthcare shifts toward non-invasive movement recovery, pain management, and specialized physical rehabilitation, physical therapists play a crucial role in hospitals, sports institutes, orthopedic centers, and neurological recovery units. Our BPT program delivers a rigorous foundation in biological sciences, kinesiology, electrotherapy, and hands-on clinical techniques.

Students learn through state-of-the-art anatomy and physiology laboratories, biomechanics research units, therapeutic gymnasiums, and hands-on clinical rotations in affiliated hospitals. Graduates gain the diagnostic reasoning and therapeutic intervention skills required for global physical therapy practice.
